We are looking forward to settling everyone back into school life. Considering the duration of time that the children have been off school, we have already carefully planned our Recovery Curriculum Plan, to support re-entry for all. One of our first priorities will be to rebuild the school community and support the well-being of all children. We are aware that children will need time to adapt to the school environment and normal routines of the school day.
During the autumn term, all teachers will be delivering a PSHE programme (personal, social and health education) to support the welfare of all and re-establish positive attitudes to learning.
We will also be launching whole-school teaching of The Zones of Regulation. This has previously been an effective intervention programme used in school. The Zones framework provides strategies to teach students to become more aware of and independent in controlling their emotions and impulses, manage their sensory needs, and improve their ability to problem solve conflicts.
