Home Learning

Welcome to our Home Learning Zone

Welcome to our Home Learning page. In order to deliver daily/weekly learning activities for children at home, teachers are setting work for children using the following websites:

  1. http://www.mymaths.co.uk - daily maths and additional activities are set by class teachers. Clicking on an activity listed should open a popup window with 2 options, homework on the left and the lesson introduction on the right. We ask the children to work through the lesson introduction on the right side first before doing their homework.
  2. http://www.welearn365.com - this is our school learning platform. Children choose Croft Junior School from a drop-down menu and can then access Purple Mash. In Purple Mash children are set 2Do activities by their teachers each day (click on 2Do in the menu at the top of the screen).
  3. https://play.ttrockstars.com/login/64742 - some work will be set on this website by teachers.

Learning Journals

All children have been given a Learning Journal to take home. Learning, which is not online can be recorded in the learning journal, as well as other extended learning, if your child chooses to complete extra independent work. At the back of the journal, children can date and record their work. This is particularly useful for some of the reading activities set by teachers in Purple Mash, which don't create files for teachers to mark.

If you do have any queries regarding online home learning, please contact Mr Silver by email: ict2601@welearn365.com.

Book Review Summer Competition

Virtual School Games

The CSW School Games virtual challenge is an exciting programme of sporting competition running throughout the summer term, giving all children the chance to represent their school team.

Real PE at Home – Online Learning Resources

Real PE at home includes an online programme which supports families to be active, play and learn together. It includes a programme specifically for children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 with 12 themes, 6 areas, over 250 activities and challenges and 1000s of hours of fun and activity.

For children in Key Stage 2 there are carefully selected personal best challenges, skills and games designed for the home and garden. Daily and weekly guidance is provided for both programmes in addition to an option to choose your own themes and activities.

There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health, especially in such testing times for all of us. We hope that the ideas help support you and your family to stay fit and healthy in the coming months. Here are the details to access real PE at home:
